John passed away peacefully at his home in swansea on the 19th of november and will be greatly missed by all.
Natasha and Ashleigh......two of the four gran-daughters.
Well what can we say apart from we miss you bampi....cant believe you have gone it came to us as a shock as you where such a healthy man, always walking wherever you had to go even though you did have a free bus pass. You will be missed by all of us.X

Forgive me today if i silently weep, for my bampi i lost and so wanted to keep. I miss you more than anyone knows, as time passes by the emptiness grows. Grandad
A man of few words he often would be,
As he sat and watched the race,
Memories of days gone by in his head,
And etched across his face.
He lay there waiting for his time to end,
His body battered and sore,
They kept him alive, maybe he’d win,
But we knew he had no more.
As I stood there by his bedside,
Tears rolled down my face,
Where a strong, fit man once lay,
A boy lay in his place.
He once stood for what he believed in,
Fighting til the end,
But now all hope has gone,
Heaven’s waiting round the bend.
I told him that I loved him,
And kissed him on his head,
For as he lay there in pain,
A life he had no more,
Shouldn’t life be lived,
Isn’t that what life is for.
So as I left I kissed his head,
And said I loved him so,
He said he loved me dearly,
Something I didn’t know.
For he never showed emotion,
Or told us how he felt,
But as he said those words to me,
My heart began to melt.
I love you dear granddad
That hasn’t always been
But when you said you loved me
The slate had been wiped clean.
now I know your feelings,
So glad you told me so,
Just wish you hadn’t waited,
Wish you’d said it long ago.
But none of that matters now,
At least we got the chance,
To tell each that we love them,
Before you took your final dance.

In Sympathy
So sorry for your loss, your story has touched my heart. My nan passed away last year and it feels like my whole world has been taken away. My thoughts are with you. God bless. I hope you find this poem of comfort, as I have done. x
What is Dying?
A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'.
Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'
That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.
Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.
